The original Phantom of the Opera. A mad, deformed composer who haunts the Paris Opera House causes murder and mayhem in his quest to make the woman he loves a star.
Lon Chaney devised his own ghastly make-up and some in the audience were reported to have fainted during the unmasking scene.
