Davy Fenwick is a miners son that is convinced he can solve the problems of the miners in his home town. Davey Fenwick leave for college on a scholarship. He hopes to return on day to help the coal miners with their unsafe working conditions. He falls in love with Jenny and marries her but realizes to late that she still loves her old boyfriend.
